Samir Shah has been a faculty member in Information Sciences and Technology (IST) at Penn State University since 1999. His research interest is in the areas of Information Technology Project Management and Global Software Development.
Shah has an extensive portfolio of over 15 years of computer/technological experience paired with significant management experience gained throughout his career. His emergent record of scholarship, grounded in his experience in the academy and in the public sector is illustrative of the vital intersection of people, information and technology. In his leadership of the Penn State York Information Sciences & Technology advisory board, Shah has successfully forged a partnership between industry, government and Penn State that has benefited all parties concerned.
His most recent accomplishments are- Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania's (TCCP) Technology Educator of the Year Award (2006), Penn Stater of the Quarter Award (2005), and University-wide Information Sciences and Technology Faculty Award (2005).
Shah is also a certified Project Management professional.
